Company

We build datasets for machines that cannot afford to be wrong.

Systems that operate in the physical world are only as reliable as the data behind them. Cato Labs exists to make that data better, and to be honest about what it is.

Principles

How we work.

  1. 01

    Collect on purpose

Data is planned against the conditions a system will meet. The hard cases are collected deliberately.

  2. 02

    Write it down

Every dataset ships with the record of how it was made: sensors, calibration, guidelines, review.

  3. 03

    Say what we cannot do

If a request is outside what we can do well or handle safely, we say so early.

  4. 04

    Keep data where it belongs

Handling requirements come first, and the plan is built around them.

Work with us

Building something that needs data?

If you build robots, vehicles or any system that perceives the physical world, we would like to hear what your data problem looks like. If you want to help build Cato Labs, write to us too.
